Hardeman County deputies have located and arrested a man who escaped from jail.

Authorities say Randy Cannon escaped from jail Monday by gaining access to a marked sheriff’s patrol unit parked on jail property for maintenance, then driving away without authorization.

A few hours later, the sheriff’s department said Cannon was found about one mile from the sheriff’s office.
