The Coffee County girls’ soccer team picked up a road win Tuesday evening.
Taking on St. Andrews-Sewanee, the Lady Raiders went up early on the way to a 5-1 victory.
Bailey Barsenas got the Lady Raiders on the board first with an early goal, before Lilly Matherne and Angelica Montealegre added goals of their own to put Coffee County up 3-0. St. Andrews-Sewanee responded by getting one shot into the back of the net before halftime to make it a 3-1 game at the break.
Matherne followed this up with two more goals in the second half to complete the hat trick and bring the game to what would be its final score. The game was called early due to no lights on the field as the sun went down.
In addition to her first-half goal, Barsenas had two assists.
The Lady Raiders will return home to face Huntland for their senior night Thursday. Game time is set for 6 p.m.
