A preliminary investigation is underway following the deaths of a man and an infant on East Warren Street.
Both Tullahoma Police Department Chief Chase Sons and Coffee County Sheriff Chad Partin confirmed the two fatalities at a home on East Warren Street. The investigation thus far shows that the deaths were caused by at least seven dogs attacking the infant, and then the man who attempted to save the infant.
One of the dogs was shot when officers arrived on the scene, but they were not able to save the victims.
The other dogs have been taken by animal control, and there are no active threats to the public at this time.
“We are still looking into exactly what happened,” Sons told The News. “This is a tragic incident for everyone involved.”
The investigation is ongoing, and more information will be provided as it becomes available.
